Earlier this year we committed to taking on a new premises, the plan is to improve our service and prices to our existing client base, extend the business to allow us to take on extra customers, and in doing so providing further career opportunities for our staff.
We have been working at maximum capacity for a number of years now, to the point where we couldn't take on any more clients as we had literally run out of room! It was a joint decision amongst all the staff that now was the time to take action. The move will enable us to extend our services to other local businesses and schools in the area.
We tried our best to make this a seamless transition to our existing customers and due to the move just being to the warehouse next door, coupled with the fact we were keeping our existing premises helped us to achieve this, of course with the exceptional hard work and effort by all the staff.
For our customers our promise is:
Whilst we always endeavor to hold our customers items in stock, because we were working to such tight space restrictions we had to rely on our suppliers to provide timely deliveries. Now we have the space we can reduce the pace at which we turn our stock over, freeing up staff time and allowing for a little more flexibility for our suppliers to resolve supply issues without impacting our customers.
With the extra space we can buy larger quantities of items and therefore negotiate better prices enabling us to be even more competitive and allowing us to have the space for promotional products and special offers.
It has been a challenging yet fun and very exciting few months and the commitment from all the staff has been jaw dropping! Every single member of staff has used a paint brush, some kind of power tool, and put in extra time and effort over and above expectation. We have received help from our families, husbands and parents and even learnt some new skills along the way! We kept a photo diary and have added a few for you to see!
We are all but a few signs missing almost ready to officially open and we would like to invite all our customers along to our grand opening day on Thursday the 1st December for a glass of fizz and a mince pie at any point during business hours. If you cannot make this day please feel free to pop in and visit us at our trade counter at any point in the future.
